Online screenwriting - TV FORMAT
I was the sole editor for several classes of the online screenwriting Film and TV courses. I created the intro sequences that was used across all modules of the course and edited each and every lecture. After reviewing the footage, I edited the lesson in order to make the instructor's lesson focused and entertaining by combining it with media clips and graphics that supported the topic. I also worked with a motion graphic designer for the more challenging graphic needs of the lesson. But if the graphic information was basic, I was able to create something suitable in Premiere Pro. Once the lesson was approved, I worked with a sound mixer for final mixing, and managed the uploads for the class.

Grow at the wallis"Grow At The Wallis" showcases an organization’s commitment to arts education by hearing from the individuals whom it positively affects and those who make it happen. I was responsible for listening to each interview and selecting soundbites that wove together a cohesive verbal story. I combed through multiple files of b-roll footage and pre-existing footage of the organization’s performances to marry the verbal statements with the striking visuals. I also created static lower thirds and selected royalty free music for the piece.

artistic freedom initiativeI was hired to create a documentary style promo for the Artistic Freedom Initiative, an organization who helps "at risk” artists. Although they went with a different direction with their branding, I was still proud of the promo created since it was different from my usual editing style at that time. Even though the tone of the piece was heavy, I kept an inspiring outlook for the ending. I viewed multiple hours of interview and b-roll footage to marry the best statements to the strongest footage possible. I also used motion graphic templates to add minimal animation for specific points that needed emphasis.

Sheen creations promoI worked with a client to direct and edit a promo showcasing her arts education outreach project. I talked with her about the goals she wanted her company to be known for, and then we worked backwards to figure out the type of footage to show and the topics to discuss in order to showcase it in the best light.

Hugo salvaterra interviewHugo Salvaterra was a student at New York Film Academy and I was assigned to edit his student spotlight video. After listening to his full interview, I re-listened again to create a condensed story highlighting his history before coming to NYFA, his views on film and storytelling, and how he plans to elevate his nation's artistic dreams. I combined his powerful statements with applicable b-roll to create a driving promo showcasing the school's education and also his artistic endeavors.
